 Who We AreLarge, multi-site, multi-modality medical practice in Long Island and Nassau County.  We have an immediate need for a Physicist.   Our Mission:To provide patient centered, expert medical care with compassion.  position Description: We are seeking an experienced ABR certified physicist to perform routine clinical tasks including treatment planning, clinical dosimetry and patient related QA.:   ·        Will develop and implement QA and evaluation programs for applicable diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy equipment to insure high quality images and radiation therapy treatment that meet or exceed regulatory requirements. ·        Will monitor and report the performance of equipment in a timely manner and make recommendations to improve quality. ·        Will maintain up to date technical knowledge of new and developing technologies and regulatory issues to support clinical and administrative decision makers.  ·        Must provide strong clinical support and problem solving in an active environment.  ·        Must have excellent communication skills and be willing to be part of a team. ·        Must have a sense of responsibility for every patient. Facility and Equipment: 3 free standing facilities with: ·        2 Varian Linacs with CBCT and Rapid Arc·        1 Tomotherapy unit·        1 Siemens Primus Linac·        CT simulator/4D treatment planning·        Pinnacle and Eclipse Treatment planning systems·        HDR Brachytherapy     Offsite procedures include LDR brachytherapy, Gamma Knife and LINAC SRS.  Employer and Environment: Long Island Radiation Therapy (LIRT) is a physician owned private practice which is a division of NRAD Medical Associates. NRAD Medical Associates is a large, multi-site, multi-modality practice in Nassau County (Long Island, NY) as well as in Queens County, NY.  We have been providing diagnostic and therapeutic radiology services on Long Island since 1927.
